چکیده

Introduction Single injection moving table peripheral contrast enhanced MR angiography (pMRA) is increasingly utilized for the evaluation of peripheral atherosclerotic occlusive disease (PAOD). While the majority of exams are successful, a sizable fraction are not; almost always due to lower station venous contamination. This is largely due to the tremendous inter-patient variability in arterial and venous flow dynamics. While numerous strategies exist in attempt to minimize venous enhancement, no single effective and coherent method applicable to all MR platforms has to date emerged. By utilizing our extensive database of contrastenhancement timing parameters, we attempted to devise and test a universally applicable and inherently simple-to-perform pMRA timing strategy.

SNR Optimized Contrast-Enhanced MRA of the Peripheral Vasculature using Patient Specific Timing Parameters: Comparison between High and Conventional Relaxivity Contrast Agents in Patient Suspected of Arterial Occlusive Disease

Introduction Single injection moving table peripheral contrast enhanced MR angiography is increasingly utilized for the evaluation of peripheral atherosclerotic occlusive disease (PAOD). Peripheral MRA (pMRA) is typically performed using a moving table technique during first passage of double to triple dose (0.2-0.3 mmol/kg) extracellular gadolinium chelate. The objective of this study was to c...

High-Resolution Continuously Acquired Peripheral MRA Featuring Self-Calibrated Parallel Imaging

Moving table magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques potentially improve the scan time efficiency of large field-of-view (FOV) MR imaging applications and provide the physician with seamless images of the extended FOV. Particularly peripheral MR angiography (MRA) requires high spatial resolution to resolve small arteries and at the same time has rigid scan time constraints in order to stay ...

Quiescent-Interval Single-Shot Unenhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography featuring Continuous Table Movement

Most recently, quiescent-interval single-shot (QISS) peripheral MRA [1] has been introduced as a fast and robust alternative to unenhanced MRA methods such as two-dimensional time of flight [2] and fresh blood imaging [3]. Being a single-shot technique, QISS is relatively robust in the presence of respiratory and bowel motion. The method, furthermore, is widely independent of the arterial peak ...
